Anne Roditis was born with the love of animals, and as a child, she was the one tormenting her parents by bringing home every stray, injured or homeless animal. Even as a child, she could not stand the thought of an animal suffering and would do her best to treat them. Remarkably, with basically the knowledge of a child, the animals she did treat went on to heal.

Apart from her love of animals, Anne loved writing, and throughout her life, she spent her free time writing fiction books. During her young adult life, she furthered her education for Creative Writing and went on to write television scripts as well as short stories and novels. In the main, her fiction work was not presented for publication, but she had many fans who would read her manuscripts and look forward to the next.

Anne was married and her surname then became Muscat, which is the name by which all involved with the breeding and exhibition of dogs know her. She had three beautiful children, Patricia, Michael, and Evonne, who also became interested in the exhibition of purebred dogs during their younger years. Anne's sister Mary Roditis, along with her two daughters, Janelle and Stephanie, also became actively involved.

Anne has been breeding and exhibiting dogs for twenty-six years. During the earlier part of her commitment to dogs, she decided to further her education to be better able to understand dogs' needs, so she gained her certificate in Animal Care and Orthomolecular medicine. Her knowledge and experience helped many other dog enthusiasts, who would turn to Anne for advice on different aspects pertaining to breeding, health, and raising puppies. She was always willing to freely give advice.

She made many champions and dogs gaining major awards at shows. The breeding of better dogs fascinated her. She views it as a creative art in which, with careful selection and raising, a work of art is produced in living flesh.

People who sought Anne's advice, both in person, via communications by telephone or email, asked if she would be willing to write a reference book. Hence, the creation of Let's Talk Dogs. She decided the book should not only be directed at breeders and exhibitors, but also toward people seeking knowledge about raising a pup, socializing the pup, and preparing it for exhibition or even keeping a well-mannered pet. She made sure the book was written in easy-to-understand format so everyone could benefit.
